When I, Miranda, came to my parents\u2019 house unexpectedly to congratulate and celebrate my mom on Mother\u2019s Day, I didn\u2019t expect to be the one surprised! I was away for college and returned home to honor my mother on that special holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My dad also embraced me, and they were all happy to see me despite me being gone for only a few months. It was already late at night after we watched a movie, and I fell asleep. But I woke up in a daze hearing my mom and dad whispering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was about to let them know I was awake. But then I heard my mother saying, \u201cI guess it\u2019s too late Jacob, she won\u2019t forgive us after finding it out.\u201d She sounded quite distraught by what they were talking about, and I was about to say something when my dad spoke up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before delving further into their discussion, my parents snuck off to their room. They left me \u201casleep\u201d on the couch. I must have tossed and turned a million times replaying what I heard before sleep took hold of me again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlice IS your biological mother.\u201d I turned to Alice, who must\u2019ve arrived home sometime in the early hours of the morning. She just stared back at me looking pale, and I couldn\u2019t believe it! Now everything was clear! We all looked the same!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
